June 18: Gold and Silver End With Slight Gains

Gold dropped $11.70 to $1614.50 at about 10AM EST, but it then rallied back higher into the close and ended near its early afternoon high of $1630.24 with a gain of 0.07%. Silver slipped to $28.269 in early New York trade, but it then rallied back to $28.83 by midday and ended with a gain of 0.28%.

June 15: Gold Gains 2% on the Week

Gold spiked up to $1633.42 by a little before 8:30AM EST before it fell back to $1619.87 in the next 20 minutes of trade, but it then chopped its way back higher into the close and ended with a gain of 0.12%. Silver surged to $28.844 before it dropped back to $28.538 and then rallied back higher at times, but it ended at just unchanged on the day.

June 14: Gold and Silver End Mixed Again

Gold jumped up to $1627.84 by a little before 8:30AM EST before it dropped back to $1610.33 in the next hour of trade, but it then rallied back higher into the close and ended with a gain of 0.34%. Silver slumped to as low as $28.21 before it also rebounded, but it still ended with a loss of 0.62%.

June 13: Gold and Silver End Mixed

Gold dropped $4.12 to $1607.48 by a little after 7:30AM EST before it surged to as high as $1624.48 in the next couple of hours of trade and then fell back off in early afternoon New York trade to almost unchanged by about 2:30PM EST, but it then rallied back higher into the close and ended with a gain of 0.45%. Silver slipped to $28.74 before it shot up to $29.118, but it then fell back off midday and ended with a loss of 0.48%.

June 12: Gold and Silver Gain About 1%

Gold fell $13.81 to $1586.39 by a little before 6AM EST, but it then shot back higher in morning New York trade and ended near its midday high of $1617.38 with a gain of 0.71%. Silver surged to as high as $29.042 and ended with a gain of 1.29%.

June 11: Gold Erases Midday Losses and Ends Higher

Gold climbed $8.44 to $1603.04 in Asia before it fell back to as low as $1581.60 by about 10AM EST in New York, but it then climbed back higher for most of the rest of trade and ended with a gain of 0.35%. Silver rose to $28.956 in Asia before it dropped back to $28.299, but it also rallied back higher in late trade and ended unchanged on the day.

Gold continued yesterday’s dive and fell another $34.70 to as low as $1556.90 in early Asian trade, but it then climbed its way back higher for most of the rest of the day and ended with a gain of 0.19%. Silver slipped to as low as $27.948 by a little after 4AM EST before it also rallied back higher in London and New York and ended unchanged on the day.

June 7: Gold and Silver Fall After Bernanke

Gold fell $6.53 to $1613.07 at about 6:45AM EST before it rebounded to $1629.12 at about 8AM EST, but it then dropped to a new session low of $1579.00 following Bernanke’s testimony and ended with a loss of 1.73%. Silver rose to $29.699 in London, but it then slumped back to $28.40 in late morning New York trade and ended with a loss of 2.69%.

June 6: Gold Gains While Silver Surges

Gold rose $22.40 to $1640.80 at about 8:30AM EST, but it then fell back off in early afternoon trade and ended with a gain of just 0.07%. Silver surged to as high as $29.895 before it also fell back off, but it still ended with a gain of 2.94%.

June 5: Gold and Silver End Mixed

Gold fell to $1612.72 in Asia before it rose to see a slight gain at $1622.36 at about 8:40AM EST and then fell to a new session low of $1612.65 in the next hour and a half of trade, but it then bounced back higher midday and ended with a loss of just 0.12%. Silver slipped to $28.101 in Asia, but it then rose to as high as $28.57 in New York and ended with a gain of 1.1%.
