July 9: Gold and Silver End Modestly Higher

Gold saw slight losses in Asia, but it then bounced back higher in New York and ended not far from its early afternoon high of $1592.80 with a gain of 0.25%. Silver surged to as high as $27.504 and ended with a gain of 0.85%.

Gold fell $14.60 to $1589.80 in Asia before it shot up to $1609.37 right after the jobs report was released, but it then fell back off for most of the rest of trade and ended not all that far from its late session low of $1576.51 with a loss of 1.28%. Silver surged to as high as $27.742 before it fell back to as low as $26.93 and ended with a loss of 2.06%.

July 5: Gold and Silver End Slightly Lower

Gold climbed up to $1623.53 at about 7:45AM EST before it fell back to $1597.59 in the next hour of trade, but it then bounced back higher at times and ended with a loss of 1.13%. Silver rose to $28.39 before it slumped back to $27.516 and then also bounced back higher, but it still ended with a loss of 2.29%.

July 3: Gold and Silver Gain Over 1% and 2%

Gold rose to as high as $1624.73 by about 12PM EST and ended with a gain of 1.53%. Silver surged to as high as $28.45 and ended with a gain of 2.87%.

July 2: Gold and Silver End Mixed

Gold fell to $1587.11 by a little after AM EST before it climbed to as high as $1602.14 in late morning New York trade, but it then drifted back lower into the close and ended with a loss of 0.02%. Silver slipped to $27.217 in Asia before it climbed to as high as $27.62, but it then drifted back lower into the close and ended with a gain of just 0.22%.

June 29: Gold and Silver Gain About 2% on the Week

Gold climbed $50.09 to as high as $1607.09 in early afternoon New York trade and ended with a gain of 2.68%. Silver surged to as high as $27.918 in early New York trade before it pared its gains a bit, but it still ended with a gain of 3.93%.

June 28: Gold and Silver Fall With Stocks and Oil

Gold fell to as low as $1547.86 before it rallied back higher in the last couple of hours of trade, but it still ended with a loss of 1.12%. Silver slumped to as low as $26.128 before it also rebounded, but it still ended with a loss of 1.71%.

Gold fell to as low as $1564.57 and ended with a loss of 2.5%. Silver slipped to as low as $26.849 and ended with a loss of 4.13%.

Silver slipped to $27.73 just after the fed’s announcement before it also bounced back higher, but it then dropped again in late trade and ended with a loss of 1.23%.

Gold rose $5.90 to $1633.30 in Asia before it fell back to $1617.40 in early afternoon New York trade, but it then bounced back higher into the close and ended with a loss of just 0.48%. Silver climbed to $28.938 before it slipped back to $28.33, but it then also rallied back higher late trade and ended with a loss of just 1.08%.
