It is also true when we compare the estimated above-ground stocks of gold versus silver. While there may be more silver held in the world than industry analysts have forecasted, it’s still a mere fraction compared to global assets. Recently, Jan Nieuwenhuijs of Voima Gold, formerly known as “Koos Jansen” at Bullionstar, wrote an article titled, “How Much Silver Is Above Ground?” I had several followers email me this article and asked my opinion. So, I thought it best to put out my own commentary to set the record straight. </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-datestamp field-field-article-published-date"> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <span class="date-display-single">Friday, December 6th</span> </div> </div> </div> <p style="margin: 0px 0px 1.25rem; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-style: normal; font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; font-variant-numeric: inherit; font-variant-east-asian: inherit; font-weight: 400; font-stretch: inherit; font-size: 17.008px; line-height: inherit; font-family: 'Droid Sans', sans-serif; vertical-align: baseline; color: #000000; letter-spacing: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; background-color: #ffffff; text-decoration-style: i<p><a href="https://silverseek.com/commentary/silver-above-ground-stocks-mere-fraction-global-assets-17801" target="_blank">read more</a></p> Fri, 06 Dec 2019 10:46:48 +0000 SRSrocco 17801 at https://silverseek.com COT Silver Report - Dec 2, 2019 https://silverseek.com/commentary/cot-silver-report-dec-2-2019-17797 <div class="field field-type-text field-field-article-snippet"> <div class="field-label">Snippet:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> COT Silver Report - Dec 2, 2019. </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-datestamp field-field-article-published-date"> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <span class="date-display-single">Monday, December 2nd</span> </div> </div> </div> <table class="MsoNormalTable" style="width: 508px; margin-left: 0.1pt; border-collapse: collapse;" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"><tbody><tr style="mso-yfti-irow: 0; mso-yfti-firstrow: yes; height: 15.75pt;"><td style="width: 381.0pt; border: solid windowtext 1.0pt; border-right: solid black 1.0pt; background: #16365C; padding: 0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; height: 15.75pt;" colspan="6" valign="bottom" nowrap="nowrap" width="508"><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: center; line-height: normal;" align="center"><strong><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: '</strong></p></td></tr></tbody></table><p><a href="https://silverseek.com/commentary/cot-silver-report-dec-2-2019-17797" target="_blank">read more</a></p> Mon, 02 Dec 2019 20:20:16 +0000 SilverCOTReport 17797 at https://silverseek.com Silver Miners’ Q3’19 Fundamentals https://silverseek.com/commentary/silver-miners%E2%80%99-q3%E2%80%9919-fundamentals-17796 <div class="field field-type-text field-field-article-snippet"> <div class="field-label">Snippet:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> The bottom line is the major silver miners had an incredible Q3, despite silver’s anemic rally straddling that quarter compared to gold’s. The higher prevailing silver prices combined with lower costs still worked wonders for silver miners’ profitability, both implied as an industry and actual per GAAP earnings. That drove radical fundamental improvements in the silver miners, even as they continued diversifying into gold. But silver’s recent upleg was truncated way before silver-stock prices really started to reflect the miners’ wildly-better fundamentals. That portends big outsized silver-stock gains during silver’s next upleg. As long as prevailing silver prices continue advancing on balance with gold’s secular bull, the silver miners are going to keep looking better and better fundamentally. Their upside potential is massive, well worth riding. </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-datestamp field-field-article-published-date"> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <span class="date-display-single">Friday, November 29th</span> </div> </div> </div> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color: black; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: medium;">The silver miners are finally enjoying higher prevailing silver prices, a great boon for this sector.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span>Silver surged this past summer after gold’s first new bull-market highs in several years rekindled enthusiasm for precious metals.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span>The long-neglected silver stocks rallied strongly with their metal.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span>Their recently-reported Q3’19 results reveal wheth</span></p><p><a href="https://silverseek.com/commentary/silver-miners%E2%80%99-q3%E2%80%9919-fundamentals-17796" target="_blank">read more</a></p> Fri, 29 Nov 2019 16:10:51 +0000 Adam Hamilton 17796 at https://silverseek.com Jim Willie: Gold and Silver Moonshot, Bank Failures, QE to Infinity (Part 2) https://silverseek.com/commentary/jim-willie-gold-and-silver-moonshot-bank-failures-qe-infinity-part-2-17795 <div class="field field-type-text field-field-article-snippet"> <div class="field-label">Snippet:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> With no end to Federal Reserve easing in sight, what will the reaction be in the gold and silver markets?
